Every person over age 18, regardless of their health status, should have a plan for the “what-ifs” in life. Unexpected things happen for many reasons, and often suddenly. Having an Advance Care Plan will ensure that your wishes are known so they can be honored.

Join NECS’ oncology counselors Jennifer Dimond, LCSW, OSW-C and Edie White, LCSW for a free online informational session to learn more about the elements of an advance directive. Topics will include:

-How to select a healthcare proxy to speak for you when you cannot speak for yourself

-How to determine what kind of care you would—or would not—want if you had a terminal illness 

-What is a DNR and a POLST? How do you know if you need one?
