Prithwijit Das, MD

Originally from New York City, Dr. Prith Das earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University followed by a master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education at Hunter College. Before becoming a physician, he taught kindergarten students with disabilities through Teach For America in the Bronx, an experience that shaped his lifelong commitment to compassionate communication and advocacy. He went on to earn his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, complete his Family Medicine residency at Boston Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident, and complete a Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship through Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the Boston VA Healthcare System. As a Supportive Care physician, Dr. Das believes every patient deserves to feel heard and understood.
Outside of work, Dr. Das enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and puppy, Hazelnut, exploring New England, and writing short stories.
